White Oak Baptist Church

Nursery

White Oak Baptist Church offers nursery and toddler care on Sundays. This is a very important ministry to the families attending White Oak. In order to provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for the children, we have come up with some guidelines for families using the nursery and the nursery volunteers. The guidelines are as follows:

GUIDELINES FOR FAMILIES

1. Nursery care is provided during our worship service for ages four and under, and during Sunday School for ages two and under. Ages three and up are able to attend Sunday School class.

2. The nursery is divided into two age groups: Newborns care up to age two and Toddlers care for ages three and four. These are just guidelines. If you have a child over two but feel they are not ready to go to toddler care, you may certainly keep your child with the babies a bit longer. If your child isn’t yet two but able to go with the toddlers, he or she is certainly welcome to join this group. Also, if your child is older than four but is not yet ready to remain in the sanctuary for the entire worship service, you may continue to use our nursery.

3. Children are brought to the nursery following the first half of the worship service. Please pick your child up promptly at the close of worship so the volunteers may fellowship downstairs as well. Your children may be dropped off again when the Sunday School bell is sounded.

4. Please label your child’s things or make the volunteers aware of things your child has with them in the nursery. Please alert all workers to any food or juice allergies or any other special needs your child may have.

5. Please be considerate if your child is sick. If your child has a fever, or has vomited twenty-four hours before, they should probably not be brought in with other children.

We hope this information is helpful when attending White Oak.
